• Upper material made from FSC-certified TENCEL™ Lyocell (eucalyptus tree fibers)
• SweetFoam® midsole with environmentally friendly EVA made from sugar cane
• Bio-based eyelets made from thermoplastic polyurethane
• Shoelaces made from recycled plastic bottles
• Insole foam made from castor oil
• Newer models may have a TENCEL™-based insole with a lower carbon footprint instead of the wool insole shown.

Looking for a sneaker that is machine washable and still won't lose its shape? Good news: all our shoes are machine washable. To prepare, remove the laces and insoles, place your Allbirds in a laundry bag (pro tip: pillowcases are also a good alternative) and throw them in the washing machine. Choose a delicate cycle with cold water and your favorite gentle detergent. Don't put your shoes in the dryer after washing, but shake out the excess water and let them air dry. Do your shoes need a little more care? Then simply get a new pair of laces and insoles.
